U.S. jewelry trade organizations have launched the Diamond Source Warranty Protocol

aiming to provide greater assurance and control throughout the diamond pipeline.
The protocol was developed by Jewelers of America (JA), the Diamond Manufacturers
& Importers Association of America (DMIA), the Jewelers Vigilance Committee
(JVC) along with other jewelry associations and companies. >>>

A recent call for a Diamond Source Warranty Protocol faced tough criticism at
the World Diamond Congress in Mumbai that brought together diamond miners and manufacturers
from around the world. Industry analyst and commentator Chaim Evan-Zohar reacted
strongly to the Protocol announced by Jewelers of America (JA), Diamond Manufacturers
& Importers Association of America (DMIA) and Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC),

Case Shows Jewelers Dangers of Facebook, JSA Says

A case involving a potential home invasion should serve as a warning to jewelers
of the dangers of revealing too much personal information on Facebook, the Jewelers’
Security Alliance says. According to Bob Frank, JSA vice president, a suspected
gang was recently found with pictures of a local jeweler’s family, obtained from
Facebook.
